bored or something

Ever read an entry of mine about piano and wondered, "Golly gee, where could I hear more about this?"

No? Didn't think so. But JSA cabinet application is a bitch, so I made a blog about my ventures into piano instead. Feel free to bookmark or ignore. But take a look and at least tell me the colour scheme of that layout is pretty. :D ( Read more... )

Wahhhh I went and looked at it because you + piano = love times two and you're always so eloquent and apt in everything ever and it's all so pretty and the colour is spectacularly spectacular and oh Valse Brillante and I could cry and randomly it reminds me that I sightread through That Chopin Ballade one time and that crazy part there tried to kill me and piano is too wonderful for mortal life and I make no sense whatsoever today, sorry. Though that's pretty typical, isn't it?

This is a good thing, is what I mean to say. It's a very good thing.

♥ how've you been? I noticed your internet was down for a bit. :/

Dude, I've been playing That Chopin Ballade for months and it still sucks. XD Piano Teacher told me it was the easiest one out of the four, but what she neglected to mention is that they're ALL IMPOSSIBLE.

Omg my internet took a long time to decide to be dead. For a long time it was saying it worked when it didn't. And then it just stopped lying about it and really didn't work. Thunderstorms tend to Mess Stuff Up, is what it is. But life in Stone Age has been good. It involved much not being at the house, which is always fun.

Ballades are criminally insane. I played the one in G minor back when The Pianist came out because I'm a dork like that, and that wasn't so bad really. She said. XD It is definitely true that all of Those Ballades are super-difficult unto death, except they start out rather nicely so you think you can play them but then they get crazy, which is not affectionate. But they're so pretteh and thusly worth any and all Suffering imparted.

Your internet connection = teh stupid. Like mine when it was first set up. I kept on losing it for no reason whatsoever.

oh, Ballade Numero Dos starts out v. easily. I've been sight-reading that part for ages. It was the scary parts that took me forever to get through. XD

When I was studying for my IGCSE, I was given Handel's Zadok the Priest for my study/research coursework. The sheet music I was given wasn't annotated for organ/strings/choir, but for piano. An acquaintance who could play piano like Chopin looked at it and made beauty of it.

Have you ever played dear ol' Zadok?

Never heard of it, actually. I haven't played much music from the Baroque. :)

If my hard drive hadn't crashed, I'd send it to you now. As it is, I'll have to hunt down my hard copy...
