I'm looking at Yamaha flutes...but I'm still kind of hoping for a Prima-Sankyo (if I can find a really cheap used one...).

Even my teacher calls my flute crap lol.

At least flutes are cheap in comparison to pianos. You could probably buy some really kick-ass flute with the money needed to get some mediocre Yamaha upright. *headdesk* I believe Yamaha's smallest baby grand - 4'11", which is really too small anyway - is listed at around $10,000?

Yes...very true. My goal is to get something good (and used) for around $2,000. To quote my teacher when I asked her if she thought I could sell my current flute..."Well, maybe to a much younger...less dedicated student who didn't want to spend a lot of money." It's not even worth it...I'll just keep it for school.

Wow, there are some amazing images in here. Usually dreamy/expermental fics don't work, because image, image, image doesn't give you a thread to follow, but somehow you manage to create a flow all the way through. Really beautiful work!

*hugs* I've got my heart set on Georgetown University and all the other omg!amazing Ivy League schools. If I get in...well, the chance of me being accepted is so incredibly nonexistent that I don't even have if-I-get-in plans.
