Update

In light of the recent events on the JE fanfiction community, I have decided on a new concrit policy.

My previous policy was an overarching "concrit please" policy. I am not changing this, but merely modifying it.

I will attach a level of constructive criticism that I would like to receive for the fanfiction in question when I post it. Because of my familiarity as both a writer and editor on the brigits_flame writing community, I will use a modified version of their editing levels.

No Holds Barred means you can point out anything that you think I can improve. I would also appreciate it if you would tell me what you believe I did well so I can see what I'm doing well. This is not an invitation to insult me; I am requesting tough, but polite criticism of my work.

Moderate could be translated into: "give me something I did well for everything I did badly." This does not mean that the crit is required to be 50:50, but it means that I am not entirely comfortable with this story being very toughly edited.

Gentle means that the story I have written is very personal to me or that I am very uncomfortable with it being edited due to various reasons. Gentle means that I would prefer to not be critted very strongly on my content.

In ALL cases, I would like crit on my grammar and spelling. If I have made a typo or grammar error, I would like to know.

If I do not add an editing label, then by default, you may assume it is "Moderate." I will tag future entries with their respective editing label.

Please note that by "concrit" I do not mean "I didn't like [x]." Please explain why you didn't like it and possibly a suggestion on how to improve it. Again, this policy is for constructive criticism. Please do not be rude.

Any and all comments, as long as they are polite, are still appreciated.
