It looks neat, but I'm unclear why something so untraditional would still have those infernal friction pegs.

funny you should ask -- the instrument actually has "pegheds", which work quite great.

Alright, I'm completely in lust over those now, but I can't really justify spending $150 on pegs for my $400 violin.

it's kind of like a... mando-violin de gamba. no. hmmm..

6 strings in a 5th spaced tuning is a huge range. that must be so so much fun. i have one of my classical guitars tuned CGDaea(i can't find a small enough string to go up to a b)

you must be having so much fun right now.

I've played one of those Acetos!! I had a great time playing with different tunings on it! And on the one I had, the monster dude on the scroll had some seriously scary teeth.. Have fun!!!
