I hate-- HATE-- when action scenes are over-edited.

I finally saw The Bourne Ultimatum tonight. I thought it was good, but could've been way better if some trendy fucking pussy hadn't cut the action scenes to shit and back. Assface-- it doesn't make them more exciting, it robs them of any sense of space and continuity. It's no longer an action ( Read more... )

If you haven't already seen it, take a look at Tony Jaa's The Protector. Odd plot concept, but there is one action sequence in the middle of this movie that will completely leave your jaw on the floor (in a good way). You'll know it when you see it. Trust me. :)

The main fight sequence starts at approx 3min in, but if you want all of the plot events leading up to it, then just start at the beginning (also, near the beginning is a really hilariously cool shot of him kicking out a street light -- damn Jaa is a badass).
