Nice alternative universe fanfic. AU because Max and Alec are so OOC that they aren't really Max and Alec anymore. The Alec in the series was in love with Rachel Berrisford and Asha and not with Max.
The real Max would never sleep with Alec because she sees her fellow transgenics from Manticore as her brothers and sisters. It would be incestuous to sleep with Alec from her point of view. Besides, virus or not, Logan is the love of her life.

I'm glad you liked it but I have to disagree with you that Alec was in love with Asha. Alec wanted to have sex with Asha yes but I wouldn't say it was love. I've always had the impression that Alec had a thing for Max.

Asha was more for Alec then just a sex toy. He truly cared about her. That's why he pushed her away as the situation with Ames White, the snake cult and the hunt for transgenics became too dangerous. He did it to keep her safe so that they can have a chance for a relationship later when the time is more secure for it. Just like Max pushed Logan away in order to keep him alive so that he didn't die from the deadly virus she is carrying in her before they find a cure for it ( ... )
