I feel so bad for Jon. He was a part of the family and they allowed him to go to that horrible place. (Although I think he's found a real friend in Sam, who is probably much smarter than he looks.) I'm looking forward to reading the books. I know the author said that they have stayed close to storyline of the novel and I like that kind of respect for an author. (You know what finally got me to watch this? I read that the author once wrote for the series The Twilight Zone, which happens to be my all-time favorite tv series.)
It has to say something about how close the TV series have stayed to the book(s) that the people who were first to laud the series, were the book fans.
I like all those characters, although I haven't seen much of Robb yet. (I like him at the moment because he's hot , but I'm sure he'll prove he has many more virtues. ^_~)
I thought I woudn't like Daenerys because I still had a little crush on her brother, but when she got all dom in bed with Khal, and then ate that horses heart (must admit I got a little queasy at that) she moved from a pretty actress just there for nudity and sex scenes to a woman with her own mind and her own agenda and that was great to see..
I love Game of Thrones! Specially John Snow and Sir Loras! Keep watching! There is a scene with Sir Loras and his lover that caused a comotion when it was first aired!
And don't give up of the girls, some of the ladies are awesome and makes the most feminist people really proud of them - and the princess with white hair is one of them!
The story is more complex and deep than appear to be at the first glance. I strongly recommend the novel.
I'm eagerly awaiting the Renly/loras scene! (Or is it Loras/Renly? Who's top in that pairing?) Oh, I haven't given up on the gilrs at all. I just think it's unfair when all the nudity is female and the guys get to prance around fully clothed. SO sexist. (I also want my fair share of fanservice, you know?)
I loved Arya from the moment she shot that arrow so perfectly at the target (before her brother.) But I love even more her scenes with Syrio (who I swear must be Inigio Montoya's distant ancestor.) The banter back and forth between them is wonderful and he's been such a good teacher.)
Sansa seems like a pampered bitch and I have no idea why she loves Joffrey, who is obviously a psychopath. *shivers*
Lady Stark was at the top of my list until she kidnapped Tyrion (who is wonderful in my opinion) but I still admire her strength and loyalty to Ned
( ... )
Based in the novel and the TV series, I believe Renly tops Loras, specially because of all references of "Loras' flower" and how Renly probably knows all "Loras' body inside ways by heart"... but Loras is very much badass, I like the way the author developed his character. He can be gay but he is strong and not so effeminate as some stereotypes that we usually see in TV shows. He is the neko but not the "ukeish" type.
I love Arya too, she is my fav female char with Danaerys (Danaerys made some things in the book 2 that I didn't liked). Sansa is definitely a pampered bitch but she is going to learn a thing or two. I like Lady Stark but not too much but that's because I simply adore Tyrion even if he is sometimes a bastard. I think he is the only one in his family who have brains. And the actor is really cute (I like small men <3)
