Representing
I went downtown to get some omiyage and teaching aides today. My criteria for what would make good items is threefold: flat, light, and representing my area. Here's what I found:
Beeswax soap from the farmer's market, little photo books of Michigan and Ann Arbor at Border's, a Michigan calendar, poster, postcards, and an Ann Arbor T-shirt at Occasionally Gift Shop. The other day I also bought stickers of Michigan critters at Wild Birds Unlimited.
I think I made out pretty well. I'm gonna hit the artist's market tomorrow to see if they have anything interesting. I'm also going to AAA to look for free maps on Monday.
