Little baby groundhogs!

I have baby groundhogs living under my shed. And they come out and graze around on my lawn and are little and round and wobble when they walk.

They're like huge guinea-pigs, aren't they? Cute enough to wobble, whatever they are :)

Verity has a new hamster called sPenelope. Edward is in love with sPenelope and sneaks into V's room at night to sleep near the cage. Aw!

The babies are like smallish guinea pigs, if guinea pigs went wild in these parts and were roaming free on my lawn.

Aw! That is very sweet (and now I'm curious, where does the name sPenelope come from?)

Oh, your poor garden. That must have been so frustrating. They've already chowed down on my parsley. I don't have many flowers, and mostly in containers. I'm surrounded by woods, so I figure I pretty much have to resign myself to the critters (there's also deer, and raccoons, and chipmunks, and probably others as well).

I tried mothballs to deter them, but they've just made my house and yard smell like mothballs without fazing the critters. Supposedly Epsom Salts are supposed to keep plants from being eaten, I'll try that next, and maybe cat hair when I lint brush the furniture.

OMG be careful, they might make you relive the same day over and over and over again until you get it right!!

Oh, they're babies.

OMG be careful, they might make you relive the same five minutes over and over and over again until you get it right!!

Ha! That's only if you try to blow up a gopher on a golf course in another life. Karma is surprisingly specific, sometimes.

Heheh. I actually thought about pictures the other day, when one of them was standing with its little paws on my patio door looking in. Don't know if they'd hold still long enough, but I might try.

It started raining suddenly today, and one of them came running out of the woods for the shed, wobbling all the way. It was freaking adorable.
