I'm getting confused about when Trudy can see through Amy's eyes, and when Amy can speak clearly. I thought they had to be in physical contact? But recently it's seemed like they only need to be in proximity.
It's my intention that they be in contact, but usually that's just a hand or even a couple of fingers touching a shoulder or arm. Where in this chapter or previously has it seemed that they haven't been touching?
Reading it over more carefully I see that they are but I missed it on first read. Except for the flopping over on the bed - it's hard to visualize how they're staying in contact there.
Hmm, perhaps I should rework it so that there -is- a moment when Amy breaks contact and then re-establishes it with, say, her hand on Trudy's ankle. I kinda like that plan.
