We got a some new furniture this weekend. A woman was giving (!?!) it away in the stlouis community, and I was all "I love free stuff." So mangledpuppies and I picked it up yesterday. There's a dining table (with pads and leaves), four chairs, a china cabinet, and a large dresser. So much that we had to call jerad_w since my puny arms wouldn't carry it all up our stairs

i'm bummed the camping is this weekend because the not-so-new cool girl at work told me about a band that's playing saturday. they do a bunch of weird/cool stuff onstage. turns out jamie knows the guys, of course, but he'll be gone. i was hoping you'd have the musical guts to check them out with me, but you're out, too. i don't think dana will like them much but maybe i can talk her into it.

hell yeah on the free furniture! you'll have to have a party so we can check out the bar. and it's booze.

oh! that sounds like so much fun. there's a tiny chance i may bail on the camping, if the weather forecasts get much worse, so i'll give you a holler if that's the case. and dana likes anything that is fun, so i'm betting she'd be down.

and we'll definitely be having peoples over eventually. ideally i'd like to recover the chairs, but that's likely to take me quite a while.

On my list of things to do this summer is build some furniture. We'll see how well this goes.

I too am glad it's warming up, even if it's unseasonably early. I'm tired of the cold and the OMGholycrap heating bills.
