I used 2s, as it gave me closest to the guage called for. I didn't want to alter the pattern too much, since it was my first sock. In the future, I'm doing at least 1s, if not 0s.
did you get the toe kitchener instructions from the web & if so where? i know i saw something somewhere about doing something with the stitches at the ends to make them smoother. hurm. anyway it's awesome! i do like that pattern. my k2, p2 ribbing is taking forever. cursed second sock syndrome.
I got the directions out of my Vogue Knitting Quick Reference. I'm thinking they weren't the best option for me. I do like the sock, so I'm excited about getting the second one done that way I can wear them. The dread 2x2 ribbing is making procrastinate on starting it, though. I hate 2x2; 1x1 is so much better.

What size needles did you use? I found that size 2s seemed a bit large for the Anne and I'm going to do my next socks in 0s.
