More Blatherings

Today I watered my plants. It was all sunny and hot. I heard drippy noises on the leaves of the trees and thought I was nutty--surely it was just the runoff from my plants dripping on the ground. Then I looked across the street and realized it was totally sunny but raining. I got in my car to go to the coffeeshop, and it started pouring when I ( Read more... )

I have totally seen Serenity. There was a sneak preview a month ago, and if I'd have had ANY IDEA you were a Browncoat I would absolutely have dragged you along.

Will it make you feel worse or better to hear that I really liked it?

regarding books and harry potter:

1. This book was much darker than the rest and somehow more fun because of it.
2. I think I missed a book club meeting this weekend, didn't I? I even read all but the last 100 pages or so. Sigh. I should really finish that book even if I *have* missed the meeting.

Yeah, I like that they're darker now. It makes me happy.

And yeah, there was a meeting on Sunday. It was fairly uneventful. Most of us hadn't finished it. I'll send out an email soon about the next one.

I still have the same two tomatoes on my plant but I suddenly have a bunch more flowers where more can come out. I don't know what made everything stall though. My zucchini is producing female flowers but they haven't turned into zucchini yet. One looks like its going to fall off.

I want fruits! I'm thinking the weird weather is preventing normal fruit production. It makes me sad, though.

Have you read the book "Finding Serenity" yet? Quite fun. Lots of good essays about the show and what the hell happened to know the show off the air. Jane Espenson (who wrote the episode "Shindig") edited and wrote a little into the each essay. I picked it up on Saturday when I went to get Potter and decided I'm honestly more exited about Serenity than I was about Potter.

I saw your post about it, but I haven't read it yet. And the library doesn't have it. =( I'm really excited about it, though, so I may actually purchase it.

I cannot wait until Serenity comes out. It can't help but be The Good Thing this year.
