I guess that's one of the appealing things about twitter. It's short and there's an app on my phone. So I end up posting little things while I'm waiting around at the doctor's office or in a line etc. Plus the retweet thing makes it even less of an effort.
The downside is the huge number of trolls. And twitter's lack of effort to do anything about abusive people.
The upside is I've hooked up with some other people who have Ehlers-Danlo so I've been learning a lot about that. I can't believe how hard it is to get a diagnosis, or any actual real helpful information at the doctor. Which is pretty much the same for everyone else.
I prefer it, for the most part. It's much like the WeLL, a place for people who prefer longer, more coherent writing than Twitter or Facebook. At this point Twitter is a place for me to share URLs with the public and Facebook is mostly for organizing local events. I think my FB friends list is limited to people I'd invite over for dinner or a BBQ.
