Aha! I knew it was him! Perhaps I've read too many stories involving priests or preachers dabbling in cult like hobbies. My question was, why didn't the priest try to go back to fix the floor? Was he colorblind or pattern blind?

I hope to read more mysteries of this nature involving Moreen.

I imagine that when he entered the scene to perform last rites, he was probably focused on acting natural in front of all those police and forensic techs. With all the hubbub, he probably just didn't have time to look at the floor.
