I’d like to add his initial to my monogram

So, this is weird. My last post to LiveJournal was, let's see, August 1, 2008. Between my increasingly demanding job and my increasingly demanding personal life, all the rest of my stuff (hobbies? what are those?) kind of just slid off my radar over the past two years.

But I guess there's no other way to do this than to just jump back in.

I've got ( Read more... )

fic, something new, challenge, something borrowed, wedding season, something old, something blue

I think I need to reread Dreamwalk Blue again, but it's so great to hear that you're back on LJ and writing :)!

Thanks! (I actually had to re-read Dreamwalk Blue myself to get back into shape for this. :)

Shocked and happy to see you posting again. Guess I know one story I'll have to reread this summer! And good luck with the wedding plans!

I guess that means I've been reading you for 10 years, then :). Huzzah! So very, very looking forward to seeing your new writing. Dreamwalk has never departed from my mind in my years of HP fic reading - definitely among the very best. And congrats on your upcoming nuptials!

Thank you! I'm so glad to hear the story has had enough longetvity to stay with you for 10 years. It's certainly stayed with me. :) Though I re-read it in prepation for doing this and it was weirdly like reading something written by someone else. I'm not sure where I even came up with some of that stuff!

At the risk of sounding douche-y, I can't tell you how pleased I am that you exist in this medium again.

Though I'm not sure we've ever spoken, I wanted to let you know that once or year so, I pick up my printed copy of DB for and hour or two. I'm not a prolific reader, but no piece of writing I met since matches the elegance and glamour you create. Thank you.

(Incidentally, your writing is the reason for my now considerable jazz collection. I'd forgotten about that.)

Oh, what a lovely note. Thank you so much for taking the time to comment. I'm so pleased that the story has stayed with you and that it's still enjoyable (and that it influenced your musical tastes!). That is incredibly wonderful feedback.
