Nov 13, 2005 16:27

This fic was originally written for the 'They Call Me Spooky' Halloween Challenge, but I missed the deadline by about, oh, two weeks.

Title: The Veiled Lady
Fandom: The X-Files
Summary: Set during Season 2, Mulder and the Lone Gunmen spend the night in a haunted cemetery.

So kill your health and kill yourself and kill everything you love / And if you live you can fall to pieces and suffer with my ghost )

fic, lone gunmen, x-files

Thanks for the story. I enjoyed the guys taking on an X File together and the way Scully's kidnapping and the Byers/Modeski angle impacted on the case. Am I supposed to know what Mulder didn't expect from his encounter from the statue or am I supposed to wonder?

I'm so glad you liked this! And yes it's supposed to vague and leave you wondering a little. :)

I just came across this while looking for Halloween XF fic, and I really like it. It's cute and fun and at the same time subtle and achingly sad. It makes really great use of TLG, and I like that it actually builds on Mulder's relationship with them. Your OC Bridget is well written, I love that we get to meet Danny, and I think you develop the x-files just the right amount, so that it's actually interesting and important to the fic, but feeds into rather than overshadowing the emotional "Scully isn't there" aspect of the fic.

Glad you liked this! I secretly always wanted to get to see Danny, and I have a huge soft spot for the LGM. This is one of my old favorites, so I'm really glad you found it. :) Thanks for taking the time to comment.

User amyhit referenced to your post from Long Shadows saying: [...] even though this would never happen on the show, it still feels in character. 2. The Veiled Lady [...]
