An entirely plausible theory...

It's just a throwaway line in The Geek Rock Series, but I'm increasingly tickled by the idea that Jump The Shark was just a bad dream of Jimmy's, brought on by washing down habanero fritters with one too many Negra Modelos. It also begs for a slash fic where Jimmy wakes up and Byers comes strolling out of the shower, in homage to the bad nighttime soaps of the 1980s, but that'll have to wait for another day...

Well, I'm referring specifically to the Velvet Gunman theme you're dancing around...

But I also like the idea of taking the jumped shark and the dream cliche and rolling them all up in a tasty burrito.

In fact I think I saw that in the opener for the 2nd season of "Sledge Hammer"
