chaithedog wrote an awesome post recently, quizzing peeps on movie quotes... so I'm gonna totally gank his idea and do something extremely similar. Ladies and gentlemen, introducing... the TV Quote Quiz!

Pretty simple... I post 10 quotes, you name the shows. A few guidelines:

Both correct!

I knew I should have picked a tougher quote for #1! It's from the very first MINUTE of the series, if I recall correctly. :-)

I guessed #6 (correctly), but in googling to confirm the answer, your post here on LJ was already the 3rd hit!! Oh, hmm, could that be because it's not the EXACT quote??

Wow yes. The original quote has an "and" and I was searching for the quote in quotations mark.

And this proves that I've watched exactly zero minutes of Mad Men.

1. No clue
2. Deadwood? Total guess.
3. Arrested Development? Again, total guess.
4. No clue
5. Breaking Bad? It seems familiar, but I can't place it. It sounds sort like something the protagonist's brother-in-law would say.
6. No clue.
7. The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret? I'm not sure on this, but it sounds like the main character's housemate from that series.
8. No clue.
9. If I had to hazard a guess, I'd say either Bored to Death or Sex and the City. But apart from inferences from the quote itself, I have no idea.
10. No clue.

Your total guess on #3 is totally right!

Woo-hoo! Entirely an inference from the content of the quote, mind you, but glad to have hit at least one of them.

I would have guessed Simpsons for #10, except that I know the show well enough to know that that quote didn't appear in "Bart the Genius." I also know that "Bart the Genius" wasn't the pilot episode, although it was the first one I saw.
