Photos like that of what I consider the Nazi 'cult-like' culture have always deeply disturbed me. Mainly because no one ever questioned the underlying theme of racial hatred that all Germans had to know were the basis of the Third Reich. When people say things like " I didn't know about the Jews in the camps" that's likely a lie...they knew full-well they were a society based on racism, period.

Agree. Hitler was supported by large masses of the people (see photos). So they liked what he said, including his racial hate especially.

I should say this is not to say I don't believe America is innocent either. After all, our country is littered and imbrued with horror stories of purposeful genocide of sorts ( Natives, the legacy of slavery, etc). But, the whole Nazi thing...it's as I said, it was a cult. This mystical belief in finding 'holy objects' ( Raiders of the Lost Ark wasn't so far from the truth) to support the Reich's 'right' to rule the world...now that shit was scary. And it certainly was appealing to the masses.

Oh the World War I photos of the surgeries....I found them in a book about....plastic surgery. I had an old boyfriend who was a doctor and he had a book about the history of corrective surgery. But you might find them online on Google.
