Russian grenadiers at the Moika Palace (Russian: Дворец Юсуповых на Мойке), circa 1890-1900. Some very impressive uniforms. The boys must have been a fifer and drummer.
The seated boy is definitely carrying a fife, but the gray-bearded gent in the leopard-skin apron is holding the drumsticks. The standing boy *could* be holding another fife.
