Great series; some of them look to be brothers, I wonder if it was common for them to go to sea together.

According to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sullivan_brothers the 5 Sullivan brothers requested to serve together despite rules discouraging that. They all died together, resulting in http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sole_Survivor_Policy

That really underlines the thought that it would not have been a good idea for brothers to serve on the same warship together!
