Rita Cansino, born Margarita Carmen Cansino, 1918, Brooklyn NY.  She appeared in some 15 films,, then received the full Hollywood makeover.  Raised her hairline; changed her hair color; changed her name; and perhaps some other alterations, and voila! now she is Rita Hayworth.

Aw, it's too bad it was pretty much impossible for her to make it in Hollywood (at the time...well, heck, this sort of thing still goes on at least to some degree even now!) as a Latina. She was stunning before her Anglicization. The only thing I think was actually an improvement in the transformation was the alteration of her hairline since it actually does make her more symmetrical (which would be the case regardless of her heritage, I think).

Either way, she's a stunner. :)

Interesting series. How exactly do you raise someones hairline? Just shave it off regularly or plug the hairs?
