More of my Grandmother's albums - all 1930s

There's 1934, which is the remainder of this album, and then I am posting the contents of my grandmother's album taken in 1936, 1937 and 1938 by her. A lot of the pictures were really tiny (taken with a Brownie probably) so they're not as clear as the larger ones, but I wanted to scan them anyway because they are interesting ( Read more... )

Those are great, thanks for sharing them! Your grandma was a cutie. My parents grew up in LA, born in 1920 and 1926, so I have a lot of pictures that these remind me of.

That little trailer would be very stylish now.

My father went to the Olympics at the LA Coliseum with his dad - my grandfather had been a bicycle racer in his youth and wanted to see the bike event. Judging from the size of the crowd, maybe your family was there for the Olympics.

I thought it might be the Olympics, but this album only had pictures from 1936-1938 and the Olympics were in 1932. So it might be something else. I just thought they were cool pictures.
