Grandpa was in England and France in 1944 and Germany in 1945.

Here is Grandpa in Germany (I think):
His regiment found an SS sniper's nest in Germany in 1945. Here's the nest in this observation tower:
Here's the view from inside at ground level:
And the view from up top:
Here's a shot of a road, and Grandpa wrote on the back, "Hitler's Super Highway" which now that you think about it, must have been pretty impressive since it was before Eisenhower and his Interstate project in the 50s.
And some fellows soldiers in Luxembourg in 1945:
