I have no clue who this man is, (and i'm too lazy to google him) but 82 year on his photograph still commands attention. He must have had some force of personality. And he's a real sharp dresser to boot.

He's an absolutely brilliant German actor, best known for The Cabinet of Doctor Caligari in which he played Cesare, the sleepwalking proto-goth, and Casablanca, in which he was who you'd expect a German to play in '40s.

he was also Gwynplaine in The Man Who Laughs - the character was also the physical inspiration for the Joker.
