I suspect that Auwi was the only true believer amongst this lot. Oskar was fundamentally a quite decent man, so it depressing to see him in that rig; his son Oskar was killed during the first week of the fighting in Poland. On the whole Nazi supporters were were concentrated in the Protestant royal families, the Catholic ones seem to have been anti-Nazi almost (entirely?) without exception, as was Rupprecht of Bavaria, and the sons of Franz Ferdinand, who were imprisoned in Dachau for a time. Rupprecht's wife and some of his children children too, I think, ended up in Dachau, but he himself managed to escape.

the hesse kassel and the Saxe coburg und gotha were 100% nazi. Charles of saxe coburg (son of Prince Leopold of England and Helena of Waldeck Pyrmont) was a war prisoner of the Allies

Here an article about his life.

Goddammit, is this Nazi week or something? Because if it is, just let me know so I can take this community off of my flist until it's over.

Let me know when the boobies are back.

I'm afraid I've had to leave the building. :( The spate of Nazi photo's are taking the joy-joy from my flist. If normal service is ever resumed, in the words of another 'great' Austrian ... 'I'll be back'.
