I was sure he's dead... The things are worse than I thought... You say he walked along the streets with such a face?? I'd rather go mad after seeing him...

That picture was on sale on ebay a few months ago. I wonder how does it feel have the original tintype

These are really powerful images ... thanks for posting them!!

About the last one ... I have heard of bodies being displayed for viewings in the Victorian era, in sitting rooms, parlors, etc. ... looking as if they were just there for a cup of tea. In fact, I was at a Victorian conference a couple of years ago, and I think somebody gave a paper on the topic. At any rate, maybe this is an example of that practice. It is a very haunting image!!

The second one is incredible too ... it looks as if he has just fallen asleep.

Yup, the second one was on discussion in Thanatos,net a webpage who has tons of Victorian post mortem pictures but none of the posters were sure if this one was a post mortem or not cause its so...weird!.

If its is a Pm picture, is one of the creepiest i ever seen. creepier than this one...
