This was the first time in his life that he’d ever awakened in someone’s arms and, like all of the other firsts he’d experienced with Luke, he quickly decided that he never wanted to live

I have to admit that the bow on the epilogue may be a bit too shiny, but to write it any other way would have required a sequel, I think.

First, the sex scene in the first part--OH WOW! Seriously, I read that twice already. It's not just for the sex itself but the way you draw it out in so much detail. It just makes it seem so real and raw and emotional. One of the best LuRe first times I've read for sure!

And I was so worried that they couldn't get past the past when they met up again but I'm glad that Luke still had that effect on Reid and Reid was powerless to resist it. They're just so meant to be!!!

And of course Luke would want to fight with Reid--that's so IC for him. Glad Reid was willing to let him.

The epilogue I did enjoy. You know I'm all about the angst too BUT I did want them to just enjoy life now that they're giving one another a second chance without dealing with too much pain and obstacles. Fantastic fic!

This is brilliant! I love this kind of angst: thoughtful and heavily character driven. I could understand exactly why each acted the way they did even as my heart broke that they were pushing each other away. Thank you for giving us the happy ending that these two deserve. I am a fan of the unambiguous happy ending so thank you and thank jacob for the sweet, reassuring epilogue. Great job!
