Short time lurker, first time poster, all that jazz...

I had a gala event to attend this past weekend and it was fancy dress. I've never been particularly fond of my hair--it's long, but it's thin and rather uninspired. of all places, Claire's...it matched my shoes well and it was like, 2.95 with their buy one get one half off deal, so yeah, very proud of myself there too :) I put it up to cover the bobby pins.

I used to LOVE to do that with my hair when it was long. You can do the same thing and tie a stylish scarf into it for a more casual look

I think Amy Winehouse is wonderful..I think it takes a certain kind of person with a certain musical inclination to appreciate her and her music, but anyway, I think it looks great but I would deffinitly try to get more height while you backcomb if your trying to get a bouffant, if you have trouble detangling your hair use some spray in conditioner and gently comb it out, it shouldn't be too bad to get out at all especially if you comb the the sectioned being teased lightly with a comb..(when I want some really good height with my bouffant I hold up section by section, back comb then hairspray then hold the section up with a comb and blow dry!) As for your bangs, maybe do a nice little pincurl since you have longer ones, Audrey Hepburn's hair in that movie is a more intricate but nonetheless nice job if thats as far as you wanted to go with channeling that style :) I think it looks very pretty on you :)
