Hi all! I've only just joined LJ, but I've been lurking on this community for 2 years now for inspiration when I started trying to do vintage hair! You are gorgeous! Hair looks great!
Your hair may be just long enough to do some small victory rolls on top and possibly just leaving the back curled loosely. Or you could just try big round curls think Elizabeth Taylor:

I think that'd look adorable on you!

Thanks! Hmm, maybe I'll try another one of Elizabeth Taylor's hairstyles since she has short hair - big round curls never stay in for me. I either have to make them tight, or they fall out all together. It's my stick straight Asian hair!

Thanks! I love your hair colour! I had mine in some shade of red for almost 10 years before I realised I needed to stop frying my hair!

Somewhere there will be one group or another dancing! You just have to search for them! I found Yahoo! Groups is pretty good for getting local updates, since a lot of dancers will host house parties for dancing! We lived in Santa Barbara before, where everything was salsa! There was ONE good lindy/charleston instructor, and a pair that danced those but mostly taught East Coast swing, but unless you joined the school practices, there was no outside dancing, bands, or even a DJ playing swing music to speak of!
