"Can't be true, can it? Would Remus Lupin date someone shallow and stupid?"

"He might," Remus smiled.

"Hey--"

"But not marry."

"No?"

"Most definitely not."

Ridiculously cute! You write them so well.

Excellent little chapter. This says so much about Sirius and I can very much see him thinking this way. Muggle magic is like that: it takes all that hard work and doesn't seem like magic at all, but then like any well-built spell, it can last forever. That's very true when you think about it: pain does make art! Actually, I have often thought that, on some level, the wizarding world might lack finesse in areas such as music and cooking and art because they use magic!

Is it bad to admit that I slightly agree with Walburga about Tchaikovsky, though? For different reasons, of course.

It is also pretty bad that I found myself assigning 70's - modern equivalents for all the wizarding bands.

Oh, and boys, I should warn you about swimming in ponds...take my advice... don't... (LOL)

I LOVE the bit about Muggle music! As a musician, I've always believed there's something magical about composers and music. Couldn't help but snicker at the thought that Walburga would hex Tchaikovsky into oblivion. What would she do with Beethoven? Or Mozart?

Anyhow--I adore Mrs Lupin.

And I love the last lines of this chapter. I can see where some people think Sirius is shallow, but there is so much more to him, as you've written here. Well done!
