Thank you so much! I was a bit afraid that maybe I'd end up offending someone or writing it horribly wrong even though I knew what I wanted to write (this is the internet after all), but I'm just glad no one's said anything about that.

And yes, war is horrible. :c But I really do admire soldiers.

You're welcome! I think you captured that perfectly, as well as sympathetically, because it really doesn't matter what side you were on; everyone felt the same way as everyone's life in the trenches was a fragile thing.

It so is! Unfortunately, it sometimes is unavoidable. ^^; And that's the said part about it because no matter how hard we try as human beings to keep the peace and work out an agreement, there's always someone who wants more, or just plain refuses to get along. *sighs*

They are to be admired, no matter which branch of the armed services they're in. They're doing a thankless job to protect our freedoms and they should be treated with more respect. :D
