Took a long time before bottom freezers came back. They make more sense.

Aqua!!

I didn't mind defrosting because it was a family effort - I cleaned out the freezer, Gran the crispers and racks while Gramps boiled pans of water to put into the freezer to make the ice plop down quicker. It was all over in about an hour.
