Yeah, um, when I taught Sunday School I changed this from "if I should die before I wake" to "keep me safe all through the night and wake me with the morning light." If that's sacrilege, I stand guilty.

Good for you! I remember when I was very ill at 6 or 7 being afraid to sleep in case I didn't wake up. Children don't need that sort of fear.

I'm a cross stitcher and there's something about this that I just find really creepy. I can't pinpoint it either.
