Ha, ha, that's okay! So much is going on that stuff happens. :)

This is a very good movie. It does focus on the romance but the war isn't just a backdrop. It's ironic that the 'little brother' war produced more realistic war films while the war was still going on when compared to World War II, which had to wait until the war was over to get into the gritty stuff.

It's a fine film. I remember the action bits well, although the trailer really piles on the romantic angle. Alsoalso, it featured Charles McGraw, an absolute fave character actor who had the leading role in some more minor films of the era. Thanks for the post! :)

Yeah, apparently Hollywood thinks romance sells! :)

I also enjoyed seeing William Talman five years before he started his role as Hamilton Burger, the lawyerly equivalent of the Washington Generals to Perry Mason's Harlem Globetrotters. Only won once, I recall. :)

Hee, great analogy! I read someplace that Talman actually did have an eye that did not close completelyand this got written into the plot.
