These are fascinating, thanks for posting. I wonder if Bahamaians still collect water from their rooftops. Also, the war influences each of these so much ... and the telephone connections were accomplished in the depths of the depressed 1930's.

Looks like the Roosevelt Administration's Good Neighbor Policy was helped along by the U.S. being connected by telephone to all these countries in Central and South America in the 1930s. :)
