Funny to see an ad working 30+ years after it was printed (it looks like Honda stopped making the Amigo in the mid-70s) on someone who doesn't even speak the language, but this has me really wanting a moped. I mean, I've been thinking about it (it fits my current lifestyle better than an automobile), but this brought it back to the front of my mind.
CB750 is super hard to resist but even more appealling to me is the Honda 600 Coupe in the background of the first frame. Twin Cam Four cylinder with a red-line of around 8500 rpm. about the size of an MG Midget
I can see that. I've owned... got to be four or five MG Midgets, or so, in my time. Good cars. Really good cars. Does the 600 Coupe compare, performance wise?
Hard for me to accurately say. I've driven numerous Midgets in my time as well, preferring the A series engined ones over the later Triumph 1500 powered ones, and have only seen one 600 (in roadster form) in the flesh. It was a race prepared and if not fast, sure seemed it. For sure a higher revving engine than either engine served in the MG. Most of "what little I know" about the 600s comes from what ever I can read up on them. Scarce beasties.
Any way, to have owned 4 or 5 Midgets and to still be able to say they were really good cars for sure is saying something!
