I found the spaghetti ad first, and went looking to see if there were any others in the LIFE archives, because the idea of a food company named something like HURFF was just too rich.

With a name like Hurff it has to be good in the clearance bin, dented and probably full of at least a little bit of botulism.

The products look good, except for the tomato-Jell-O-thingie. The name, though, sounds like a disgusting noise. =P

Have they found a way to make canned spaghetti appetizing? Because I seriously doubt that it's possible.

After seeing this ad, I think I'll get my friend Ralph and hop in my Buick, drive to the store and hurl some Hurff into the shopping cart.
