possible bumpy LJ ride ahead.....via facebook i see that some LJ users are getting the varnish error...LJ has even gone to blocking people from posting on their FB wall---so methinks they are aware of the problem and don't want their FB filled with post after post, though we're filling up the comments of a post of theirs

I got the Creepy Goat of Doom as I call it earlier today when I tried to post a comment. I also got logged out by the system. When that happens, I know LJ is messed up.

do you have any interest in mirroring the community over on DW? I have spare invites.

would it be easy to mirror it over there?? i would like to have the community 'backed up' so to speak.....

You'd basically be running two communities, and people could choose to participate or not. There's no easy way to back up the community like there is individual accounts.

wasn't thinking there re: backing up with all the individual accounts---sometimes when i'm sick my brain doesn't work right (even if i'm well my brain doesn't work right, haha).....i think i HAD a DW account somehow? but i dunno....but that was oh gee a couple years ago, like right when it started.....i should go see if it's still there.....will let you know.....thank you!!!

I'm not having any problems but wanted to suggest a theme... I think around halloween, we should do candy ads.

we did that last year and we shall do it again this year too!! :) usually the week before halloween we'll declare 'halloween candy' ad post time, though not a contest.....

and we'll have a movie trailer day too one day---horror films!
