for most people, this is just a gorgeous 60s muscle car - body by Fisher, improved rear suspension, 385 horsepower.

Sorry, the Impala was a full size sedan, not a muscle car.

I now see where The Simpsons got its Canyonero concept 3800 pounds of deer smackin' American steel! Imagine just trying to steer that thing - on ice!

Some folks get it, some just don't. :P

I think Dean would approve of the lady, but not of the gold. :D

I could see calling an Impala a muscle car; start with a nifty Impala Sport Coupe and added the SS427 package:

Yeah, but the Metalicar is a 4 door with a bench front seat. Also, it's an automatic, not a stick.

OTOH, in my mind it's still a muscle car, lol.

I've never been sure about the specifics. all the '67 Impala ads I've collected feature the SS427 or the sports coupe, but to my untrained eyes they all look like THE car, lol.

Dean Winchester agrees, even if his is the more family friendly four door.

But then, John Winchester did have a family for it, once... :(

And Dean helped him pick it out! So they were destined for each other. Damn, now I need a D/I icon.

And I still miss John, too. :(
