Even today I could not stop by that appopan.It has been so long since I have been thinking of giving him some money. I think a better idea would be to get him some food. Will do that

I guess there's a period in life when we start realizing how much our parents mean to us. You are correct in saying that we take them for granted 'coz we know they'll always be there. But the fact is this is what makes them special - that they wud be there when no one else is there to stand by you - that they wud be there for us during the thicks and thins of our life.
I don't feel proud when my father calls me up to take some advice about matters which he had been handling efficiently for so many years. It makes me feel that he is growing old. Most of the times I just yes to whatever he has planned. This shows that he is still competent of doing things by himself but needs support. "Yes Papa, u r right" makes him feel good and gives him the confidence that his children are there for him.
May God help us fulfill all the expectations that our parents have from us.
