We knew the match against Portugal was going to be a tough one, and the match was young when Portugal got ahead 2-0 - a score that normally sends us retreating, and I feared it was going to be 90 minutes of sheer humiliation. However, the boys surprised us by fighting back, and with 2 minutes remaining the score was 2-2

Awwwwww. But I think you are confused; how can this be football without millions of ads running during the games and without guys wearing body armor running ten yards and slamming into other guys but in a totally not gay way?

Football (soccer) is actually a pretty lame game, but it's still a very big part of us - I suppose it's the same for you guys with your baseball, which we call 'roundies' and consider a children's game. ;o)

Anyway, Germany beat the last spunk out of us, so now I can watch the rest of the matches with a stoic calm (read: indifference).
