Never ever write a 100 line email to your customers asking them if they wanted features X, Y and Z . They generally respond with a one-word reply. Worse, their email would be empty with the subject line reading:
YES [Was: Hey customer, do you need these features ?] It is like showing kids a bag of candies and asking them if they wanted it.

The customer is incapable of deciding what is truly important for the business and hence thinks everything is required
OR
The offerings are so good, that the customer can't afford to say "No"
I would like to think that in my case it was the last one :P
