The pig thing was basically the thing keeping me up. Also the arm twisty thing. Third one = running out of clever ideas.

At the end of the first one, both my friends and I were yelling, "whaaat?! that did not just fucking happen!!" It was more a mystery movie than anything else, and an amazing one at that.

The second one, too, the whole "if you sit here, your son will be fine" and him ending up in the safe... HILARIOUS. That just impressed me so much. John didn't even care about killing the kid, just wanted to teach the cop a lesson. (All those other people in the house, well, you can't make an omelet without killing a few people.)

Jigsaw FTW.

I'll admit that I've avoided the Saw movies, purely because I enjoy a good mind-fuck rather than gore and almost everything I've heard about the Saw movies is; z0mg, the gore!
However, if the guy is as cool as you make him sound, I shall at least venture into Saw 1 and give the man a sporting chance! ;)

Definitely give Saw 1 a chance. Before everyone knew about the Saw movies, it had a decent twist at the end. Now, it's not about the mind fuck or the twists, it's mostly about the gore.
