I'm a huge Sephiroth fan, I admit, and was very happy about father and son going on a picnic short of many sandwiches.
And I also have complete faith in how Hojo would do absolutely everything to achieve his goal. However, going from our beloved mad genius to... mad? I was really disappointed.
The man created Sephiroth, finely tuned Valentine, and probably a endless number of weird mutants.
Hojo in DoC... laughed a lot.
Maybe the man in DoC was only a fragment of the Hojo we knew, but...
I found his presence in DoC completely unnecessary, to tell the truth. They only succeeded in taking away the 'genius' in the mad genius scientist.
Hojo was a real villain in FF7. Cunning, cold, calculating and bat-shit crazy! :D
Hojo in DoC... laughs a lot. *sigh*
