This drama is going to make my cry, isn't it? This type of melodrama has never really been my thing so I'm partly not looking forward to it, while simultaneously being excited for YC and YEH.
ditto. that trailer actually makes me wish they'd stick with the teenagers; it's like the opening eps of will it snow for christmas, where it was gorgeous atmospheric melodrama with super talented young'uns and i stopped caring after they grew up.
It's funny that you say that, because I'm actually looking forward to the adults because I really want to see what YC and YEH can bring as a pair.
At the same time, you're totally right. The scenes of them as teenagers say so much, just by setting, mood, emotion. I hope it carries over to the scenes with them as adults.
i think that age group has so much untapped potential, beyond just being the childhood placeholders. shut up and reply 1997 totally proved that, beyond being wonderful dramas in their own right.
i like the leads but this is pretty much the last kind of role i'd want to see either of them in. then again, i might be wrong! it's hard to do but melodramas that get it right are my lifeblood.
