mte. To be honest, the romance(s) is the least compelling part of the drama for me right now, but I love Kang-to/Mok-dan. I've shipped them before, but I confess Mok-dan's turnaround in episode 18 disappointed me. Now I'm just I happy shipper wallowing in angst :)

I'm glad I'm not alone in being disappointed by that moment episode 18. Maybe it's because I love angst so much that I really wanted the reveal to hit MD in this very emotional, psychological place.

I feel like I didn't get the payoff I really needed but at the end of the day, like you said, the romance isn't one of the more compelling aspects of the show (or at least it's not why I watch every week) so it's hard to really get bent out of shape about it.

I loved the handholding scene! (I have been consistently happy with MD/KT, but their secret touches/helping the cause phase is making me giddy).

I think what really turned it around for me is that as soon as they got together it was like a switch came on. I've always had a tough time with KT being reckless when it came to MD and MD constantly rushing into situations without thinking, but when the truth finally came out it was almost as if they became more focused.

Now that they know that they love each other, they've become laser focused on the cause and the need to protect each other. They can't afford to be reckless, or make one false move or they put each other in danger. They only allow themselves these short tender moments. It's that balance that has me sold on them completely.

I like a couple in love just like anyone else but I like a smart and capable couple in love even more.
