Is the number (officially) of people killed in Burma over the past week.

It's also the number of people who turned up for a Barack Obama rally in Oregon yesterday.

I'm not sure what to make of that. Probably nothing. It's one of those things that makes you think, even if you're not sure what of.

In other news, I'm feeling envious of everyone in the world today.

Someone just posted a comment on an LJ post I wrote in March 2006. The comment was in Ukrainian. It's the post I did just after Tim took me to see "Date Movie" and had to buy me a drink afterward to apologise. And I wrote about Anglo-Saxon coins and an aristocrat called Lord Greaves. I just read that Heath Ledger died a few hours ago. I'm not normally one to get shook up about dead celebrities, but he was one of my favourite actors. One of those actors I was always telling people, "oh you should see this guy, he's great", etc when no-one had heard of him. Bah. Bah I say. Leave a comment  3

I stayed up late last night (4.30am) to watch the Iowa Caucuses. Absolutely exhilirated - for an Obama fan like me, last night was joyful. I've believed he was going to win the Presidency since about February, though I wavered in September and October.
