While she glides around the globe

Another issue comes up, this time with the scientists claiming they have attempted to fix matters, and with the Animus saying it was not their fault. It is easy to believe the Animus are lying. They are clearly off-balance. But what are the Animus? If we are in an entire world created by the scientists, why could they not create easy scapegoats ( Read more... )

Those... Animus. Odd group. You think they're a fabrication?

Some people take the path of least resistance. Here, that means they settle for survival. A shame, really; with the right means, there's no reason to.

I think they are real, not a lie, but constructed.

And what means do you speak of?

An entirely artificial creature? Or just those scientists playing the part of one?

That's something I'm still trying to discover myself. A little harder to do when everyone around you is so ready to make do with whatever they're given.

This is, after all, an entirely artificial world, is it not? Why could they not create a creature?

Yes. Complacency is easy for those with little willpower.

The scientists - I presume that you mean these men at the city center that are responsible for our common predicament? It's a worthwhile goal when measured in scale, a likely adventure... if nothing else, I should be glad to take my fate back into my own hands as much as I may. But I don't envision us receiving much support in this from those outside our own circle, I must say.

Yes, that is whom i mean.

Likely not. I had hoped for more to use in such a situation, but the lack of response is indicative. They would rather keep their heads down than make an attempt at changing their lives. A shame.

That is not, percisely, what I meant - we may be surprised by how many here might take a stand if directed at it. What I doubt is that they would be willing to work at that stand if they knew some of us - myself, dome Kurotsuchi, Zexion perhaos - to be involved in it. We're rather infamous, it can't be helped.

A consideration I had not taken into mind.

If I was to lead this, and the rest of you were to remain in the shadows until the actual attack... This bears thought. I would not have issues with acting the figurehead. I was known for who I was in my own world.

Not the only one, Carmen-san.

But some people have found respite in this place. oing home might not be a pripority for them.

But surely having some semblance of control over their destinies here would have appeal?

Again, this will change from one person to another.
